The IT system has been developed

Zala Termálvölgye Egyesület (LAG) has developed IT system within Agrishort project. The IT system is an Android mobile application and a related online interface, the www.nyitottportak.hu website. The IT system is ensuring information about "Open Farm SFSC group", the SFSC members, their services and products. The SFSC members are able to use the IT system to send offers to customers (push messages/notifications).

Hungarian brochures and video have been published by LAG and LBDCA.

Zala Termálvölgye Egyesület (LAG) has developed a Brochure within Agrishort project, which includes basic information of the project (implemented activities etc.). In addition, the brochure contains information about the established “Open Farm SFSC group” (members, products, services etc.).

The IT system has been introduced to members of the short food supply chain

A meeting with members of short food supply chain “Best from Međimurje” was held on August 27th 2018 within AgriShort project and it was organized by Public Institution for the Development of the Međimurje County REDEA. The purpose of meeting was to present the IT system to SFSC members. When a user open IT system he has the possibility to choose between two counties, Međimurje County or Koprivnica Križevci County.

Public Institution for the Development of the Međimurje County REDEA has developed a Brochure within Agrishort project, which includes basic information of the project, implemented activities and achieved goals and results. In addition, the brochure contains information’s about the established short supply chain “Best from Međimurje” and about the first members and their best quality products. Second study trip to Austria on 19 June 2018

On June 19th 2018 within the framework of the Agrishort project „PORA“ Regional Development Agency organized a study trip to the Vulkanland region in Austria where participants visited examples of good agricultural practice. It included around 100 representatives from the agricultural domain including representatives of project partners, local institutions, local action groups and agricultural producers from the cross-border region of Hungary and Croatia.

Guidelines for Institutions

Within the framework of the AgriShort Project the Thermal Valley of Zala Association (LAG) has prepared the Guidelines for institutions: „How to establish SFSCs” in Hungarian language for those institutions that are already concerned in this subject. Including the Croatian experience with SFSCs, the same document will also be published by the project’s lead partner – REDEA Development Agency - in Croatian language within a short time.

Second specialized workshop"Development of Agri-food sector through SFSC's"

On December 11th 2017 PORA KKC organized specialized workshop on the topic "Development of Agri-food sector through SFSC's". This workshop was held in the framework of the implementation of the AgriShort project - „Establishing short food supply chains and competitive agricultural sector in the cross-border region through institutional cooperation” and it gathered around 30 participants, mainly representatives of institutions relevant for the agri - food sector and family farms.

2nd SFSC training - Zalaszentgrót

The Zala Thermal Valley Association (Zala Termálvölgye Egyesület) organized the second SFSC training in the framework of AgriShort project on 30 November 2017 in Zalaszentgrót.
In the first part of the event best practices were presented from Hungary, such as one of the most successful SFSC co-operation of the country, the Nyíregyházi Kosár Shopping Community.
